Nutcracker Experience

Saturday, December 6, 2025 2 Sessions: 9am-10am & 11am-12pm Ballet of York County Studio 420 Dave Lyle Blvd, Rock Hill SC

This free event will introduce children to the world of dance, music, arts and literature through storytelling, live ballet performances and hands-on activities!

Each hour-long session will begin with a read along of The Story Orchestra: The Nutcracker by a librarian from the York County Library. Following the story, participants will preview live excerpts of The Nutcracker performed by Ballet of York County Company dancers. Each session will conclude with the opportunity to see/ touch tutus, pointe shoes and costumes, as well as create a keepsake ornament and take photographs with costumed dancers. Designed for ages 3-7 with a parent/guardian.

This event is brought to you in partnership with York County Library & sponsored by Wiley Insurance Services.

Registration begins Monday, November 10 @ 8am!

Please note:

• There is no cost for this event! It is free to the public.

• This event is geared towards children 3-7 years old along with their parent/guardian. Parent/Guardian must be in attendance along with their child for the duration of the event.

• Each session is limited to 12 spaces to ensure a high quality experience for each participant.

• Registration is required to reserve your spot. Each child in attendance must be registered.
